Week 12 - Social networking
Wow, can't believe I am up to my final week of learning and still learning...it has been great and so much web stuff that I didn't know about before Learning 2.0. I knew of Bebo, My Space and Facebook...can see that it could be good for libraries to use social networking services to reach younger clientele...they would use it most...also for customer surveys and suggestions...and links to events, making bookings...now to do the feedback survey...Thanks Learning 2.0!

week 11 - online applications and tools
Week 11...it was great to find out that there is free online software available and documents can be shared online and added to and changes made to them...which would be good at work esp for jobshare positions or just so people can collaborate on publications such as procedures, etc. It is good that files can be easily converted using Zamzar. I used Google docs, uploaded a document and shared it with State Library, very straightforward.

Week 10 - "mashing it up"
Week 10...Voicethreads was interesting, adding insight into photos by being able to hear what people in the photos were saying...could see its use in Libraries in Local Studies...Mashups was fun...could see the use of Mashups in Libraries such as for doing a collage to make a library poster...really enjoyed looking at Big Huge Labs and adding a mashup to my blog, will use it again at home too.

Week 9 - Podcasts and Audio
I enjoyed this week's learning of podcasts, vodcasts...It would be especially good for people who are unable to visit the library, such as the elderly and sick people, home library service members. Our Library could also podcast events such as author visits and promote activities through podcasting such as Book Club so people could see if it interests them before they come.

Week 8 - "Slamming" the Answer Boards
This was fun - I never knew they existed - and good that the answers I looked at from librarians got a good review - I think that by "slamming the boards" it could be good promotion for libraries, good to "show off" some of our research skills with good answers.
